On Monday, 9 December 2024 (14:00-15:00 CET), the next EDIH Applied CPS train-the-trainer course will take place as part of the EDIH Academy.
Part 1 will delve into the exciting world of global automotive markets, looking specifically at the automotive sensor and software markets, the technologies associated with them and the analysis of key influencing factors.
Part 2 will present the success story of Persival, a perception sensor simulation and model validation solution provider. This section will provide an overview of their journey pushing the boundaries of what is possible in this field. It will present major advancements in sensor technology and data collection and explain the importance of collaboration and partnerships within the automotive ecosystem.
Environmental sensors play a crucial role in understanding the relationship between a vehicle and its surrounding environment. These sensors provide indispensable data, however for Persival the development of environmental perception systems is aggravated by their limited access to authorized data sources. To help tackle this problem Persival partnered up with Applied CPS to test Virtual Vehicles units, equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, to collect essential measurement data.
This opportunity to gather training data brought Persival significantly closer to its goal of achieving credible simulation for the development and validation of automated systems.
